Welcome to faCE!

I hope you find this, our first Issue, insightful, interesting and engaging. We are excited to have the site up and have been hard at work toward this as one of many goals. This is a big moment for me. I've been aware of factory farming for awhile now and have been participating in different ways to try and impact this horror. Farm Animal Compassionate Engagement will enable an ever increasing number of us to accomplish exponentially more.

We will show you easy things you can do to become part of the solution, highlight effective successful alternatives other people and businesses are doing right now, and reacquaint you with the incredible beauty, sensitivity and intelligence of these animals (in case that’s even necessary).

We will keep you informed on the health risks to you and those you love and care for, not only by being consumers of the products of an industry so insidiously cruel, inhumane and reprehensible, but also simply by being alive because this massive industry effects not just the health and well being of millions of us, but the health of entire ecosystems and, via disease and climate change, the health of the planet itself.

The greed, villainy and the evil at the core of this industry make it very powerful. So powerful that it’s easy to get discouraged, especially once you’ve gained the courage to make yourself aware of the suffering all of these animals endure throughout the entirety of their lives.

I was in that space for awhile. Tyson Foods, Cargill, Smithfield Foods, Swift and Pilgrims Pride are corporations operating on a Walmart scale. How could I - one individual - in any way effect what they do? But, given an awareness of the living horror factory farming forces upon Billions of animals, how could I turn away? How could I not try?

So I learned a few things, and talked to some of the many very special people feeling the same way. And the more I learned, the more I realized this...

In an evolving society, the system of factory farming is unsustainable. Morally, ethically, and as a business model. We will show you why. We will show you alternatives to this system. We will show you what must be done to hasten its demise - and why your voice is so important.

An atrocity, a horror of this magnitude cannot stand. Factory farming will end.

That’s why this site is here.

The end of factory farming begins with your awareness, with the spread of the truth. With compassionate engagement.

I will be blogging each Issue focusing on different aspects of factory farming and solutions to this blight. For now, let me just say "Welcome!" I am so glad you are reading this. Please feel free to comment at any time - let us know your questions and concerns, your feelings, your story, what resonates with our presentations and what doesn't. We want this community to be active, for everyone to be heard.

Together, we will make this happen. Believe that. Trust that. Join us.
